We believe technology and telemedicine are fundamentally shifting medical diagnosis.

Connecting specialists with patients in need

Today, like never before, it is possible to enable non-specialized medical staff to collect data also in decentralised service centres. The collected data needs to fulfil certain requirements regarding quality and reproducibility so that it can be transferred and analysed remotely.

This new way of diagnosis relies on the ability to accurately collect patient’s data wherever they are. In the case of ocular surface conditions, it relies on the ability to capture high-resolution images that can be analysed and compared, to understand how the patient's condition is evolving over time.

We provide solutions supporting telemedicine and the application of AI in digital healthcare.

In the future, we complement the product offering with solutions specially developed for enabling telemedical diagnosis in ocular surface pathologies. The goal is to develop an AI-based telemedicine solution for the diagnosis and monitoring of ocular surface diseases.

This way, quality of care and cost efficiency can be increased at all levels from primary care to clinical ophthalmologists. The first step in the way of providing telemedicine in ocular surface patient management is enabling quantifiable image data. For this purpose, Occyo introduces Occyo One - an external eye imaging system.

Developing technologies for high-quality, standardised imaging

we AIM TO MAKE OPHTHALMIC patient examination

easy

We create digital health-tech solutions that are easy to use and do not require advanced training. Occyo’s solutions offer reproducibility, interoperability and operator independence for ophthalmology. Our products are ready to support telemedical patient care.

Reliable

Only high-resolution quantifiable images are suitable for novel computer-aided external eye diagnosis. Through automation, we aim for quality and standardisation, leading to reliable image data and future remote patient care.

Accessible

Standardised images are the key to enabling remote ophthalmic patient care. This is the missing link to the remote anterior eye examination.

AWARDS AND CERTIFICATES

Even before the market launch, Occyo has already won several renowned prizes e.g. science2business award by the Austrian Ministry of Digital and Economic Affairs, Best of Biotech by AWS, Point Guard Biosciences award, Tyrolean Innovation Award and Euregio Innovation Award. The latest achievement regarding the awards was winning the HHT (Health Hub Tyrol)  funding in June 2023.
